Before the Burning follows the Master in 391 CE Alexandria, doing what Guardians do — arriving before the catastrophe, leaving after the work is done. The Apprentice follows Kane at fifteen, two years into his training, finding the commitment that will carry him across nine worlds.

The Second Testament
When a highway accident kills the Murphy family in an instant, they wake to a world that looks exactly like the one they left — same roads, same sky, same everything, except for the book each of them is suddenly carrying. It’s their Book of Life: the record their soul has been keeping all along, now open to a second set of pages. It shows them what they are, what they carried out of life, and how tightly they’re still anchored to existence. Because the afterlife is not eternal by default.
